Liquid Colour Mixer for Paver Blocks | Balaji Construction Machines & Spares, Satara
Paver blocks are used to create walkways, porches, driveways and patios. A good way to spruce up a home or commercial landscape, mortarless paver blocks are easily colored using concrete stains and dyes that are acid- or water-based. Some paints come with a slip-guard coating, which helps prevent people from slipping and falling and makes cleaning the pavers easier.
- Rinse off the pavers using a hose to eliminate all dirt and debris from the pavers and the base material in between. For stubborn spots, such as animal droppings, mix one part dish detergent with three parts waters in a bucket. Wet the brush and begin scrubbing the spot. Rinse the detergent from the pavers. Things such as chewing gum can be frozen with dry ice and then chipped away with a screwdriver, for example. Once the pavers are dry, sweep them with a clean, bristle broom.
- Apply concrete sealer to the pavers by pouring enough sealer onto the pavers to cover a small area. Roll the sealer back and forth onto the pavers using the paint roller. Repeat down the walkway or around the area until the pavers are completely covered. Be mindful of where you begin and end so that you don't step on wet pavers during the process. Allow to dry overnight.
- Stir the colored concrete paint using a wooden stir stick. Pour the paint into the paint-roller tray. Dip the pole roller into the paint, and brush onto the pavers in small strokes, as you would paint a wall. Allow to dry overnight. Repeat if desired.
- Seal the paint job with another coat of concrete sealer. This protects the paver's texture and surface and helps prevent future stains and scratches.
